Class Update
Hello All!
Sorry for the lapse in posts! I will do the best I can to keep you updated on your students progress through pictures and updates.
So far, class is going great! Students are working hard on learning the content and also having some fun through labs and activities. So far we have done an animal behavior lab with earthworms. Students learned about the various forms of behavior exhibited by animals (humans included) and displayed these by observing a worms behavior. Today students are using an iPad to create a claymation activity to display enzyme's properties and their functions.
Topics Covered to Date:
-scientific method
-animal behavior
-microscopes
-organic molecules & nutrition (carbs, lipids, proteins, & nucleic acids)
-enzymes
Upcoming Dates:
-They will have their next vocabulary quiz tomorrow. They will have a vocab quiz at the end of every week so you can help keep them accountable for studying.
-the 4.5 week assessment will cover all unit 1 and unit 2 material. It will be on 2/23/18. Please make sure your student begins to study now for this test.
